With a remarkable weight-to-cushion ratio, the Kaha 2 Low GORE-TEX delivers peak performance with peak plushness. Updated with a HUBBLE heel with SwallowTail geometry, this durable hiker features Vibram Megagrip with Traction Lugs for increased ground contact. Consciously crafted, this trailblazing silhouette employs GORE-TEX footwear fabric with recycled textiles.
GORE-TEX Upper
Constructed from a durable nubuck leather, the uppers of the Kaha 2 Low GORE-TEX ensure that protection and comfort are supplied to your feet, allowing confident strides on your next hiking adventure. The leather is also waterproof to help prevent feet from getting wet, particularly on soggy, wet trails, whilst it is highly breathable to prevent moisture and sweat build-up, reducing wet feet from the inside. Working with the nubuck leather is a GORE-TEX footwear fabric, with a 71% recycled polyester face fabric, to further ensure feet remain dry and breathable, reducing the risks of discomfort by allowing a constant and cool supply of fresh air to surround feet and keep you feeling cosy. As well as this, the GORE-TEX membrane prevents water or rain from entering the fabrics, keeping your feet dry and ready to tackle your next adventure. Breathability is further enhanced thanks to the recycled polyester mesh lining that sits against your feet, therefore also helping to prevent irritation or chafing from occurring. The shoes have an abrasive resistant toecap and heel for protecting your feet against knocks and bumps, placed in the areas that are usually more high-wearing, for enhanced durability. Preventing dirt and debris from entering the shoes, and keeping them comfortable next to your skin a recycled polyester quarter mesh and tongue mesh optimises in-shoe breathability and keeps feet locked in comfortably. Additionally, the shoes have an anatomical Achilles construction for supporting your ankles, and a heel pull tab to ensure an on-and-off construction. Finally, the recycled lacing system alongside quick-lace metal top hooks, provides your feet with an easily adjustable fit, helping to prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring.
Dual-Density CMEVA Midsole
Supplying optimum underfoot cushioning and outstanding comfort when traversing tricky and often changing trails on your next hiking adventures, the shoes have a dual-density CMEVA foam midsole. This works to cushion your landing and provide a comfortable base for every stride. The midsole has energy-return to provide feet with some propulsion during strides, and shock-absorbing properties to help reduce the risks of injury or discomfort when striking down on the hard ground below. Updated from their predecessors, the Kaha 2 GORE-TEX utilises a Hubble heel and a SwallowTail for stability on uneven terrain and smoother heel-to-toe transitions.
Vibram Megagrip Outsole
Optimising underfoot traction and ensuring grip across a variety of trail surfaces, the walking shoes have a Vibram Megagrip outsole. This durable compound has long-lasting properties, to ensure reliability on your walking companion and provide you confidence in your gear. This compound provides you with a strong bond with the ground below, whether it is a slippery muddy trail or rough rocky terrain. A later-stage MetaRocker with integrated flex grooves further enhances the smooth heel-toe transition that's supplied by your shoes and ensures natural movement of your foot. Adorning the outsole of the Kaha 2 GORE-TEX are 5mm lugs for unmatched traction and provide you with confident footing on the changing ground.
