Hoka Clifton 9 GORE-TEX Women's Running Shoes

Creel Jacquard Knit Mesh Upper

Updated to provide a cushioned ride, rain or shine, the Clifton 9 from Hoka features GORE-TEX Invisible Fit. This weather-ready technology keeps feet cool, comfortable and dry throughout wear thanks to its lightweight and breathable waterproof ventilation. This GORE-TEX technology is complete with a 70% recycled Polyester face fabric. The Clifton 9 utilises a creel jacquard knit upper that is airy and smooth. The upper is seamless on the outside for a sleek look and clean silhouette and only has a few seams on the inside. The knit mesh construction wraps each foot in well-ventilated comfort, allowing air to permeate the upper. Although lightweight, this upper remains resilient enough for you to put it through any workout. Furthermore, this construction provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air within the shoes during intense activity. Additionally, the upper offers reinforced eyelets for durability when tightening the laces. This construction allows you to get a personalised fit and prevent any in-shoe slippage from occurring. When the laces are tightened the upper wraps around the top of the foot cradling it for additional comfort while providing a premium fit. The Clifton 9 features a flared heel collar and refined Achilles pull tab. The flared shape keeps the collar off the Achilles to mitigate any rubbing or chafing and also acts like a heel tab easily removing the shoe. The heel cup employs an internal heel counter for a secure fit and extra padding around the collar to boost comfort. Lastly, 360-degree reflectivity on the upper enhances visibility on low-light runs.

EVA Midsole

Early-stage Meta-Rocker geometry is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. In the Clifton 9, the transition zone is placed behind the metatarsal heads; this helps create a smoother ride and a faster transition to the forefoot. A full-length new and improved EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft, and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces whilst adding an energetic response with each step. A moderate heel bevel helps to promote a smooth heel-to-toe transition; it enhances ground contact and unites with flat-waisted geometry to stabilise and support every stride.

Durabrasion Rubber Outsole

A grippy outsole with a full ground contact design completes the Clifton 9. Durabrasion rubber offers enhanced traction on slick surfaces while traction pods provide more plush ground contact no matter the weather. Strategic high-abrasion rubber zones adorn this durable rubber outsole; increasing the shoe's durability, reducing its weight, and employing an updated lug pattern to supply enhanced traction on every road surface. Lastly, a wider base provides added stability on your run.
