Creel Jacquard Mesh Upper
Constructed using a breathable creel jacquard mesh fabric, the uppers of the Gaviota 5 provide feet with a cosy, comfortable experience. Not only will they provide you with a sock-like, secure fit, but the shoes will also ensure an optimal level of air can flow through the shoes, to create a breathable, cool experience for feet to thrive in. Preventing irritation and abrasion, the shoes have a plush collar and single-sided tongue gusset, improving comfort over their predecessors. A heel pull tab assists with putting the shoes on, the shoes have recycled laces for a traditional, yet sustainable lace-up construction. This helps the feet remain locked in and secure, preventing in-shoe slippage from occurring. 100% recycled polyester midfoot brace ghillies help further reinforce the fit.
EVA Midsole
To provide you with plush, comfortable cushioning and exceptional support and stability, the Gaviota 5's have H-Frame technology. A full-length EVA platform resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. The H-Frame technology sits inside the foam and delivers a stable platform for those looking to prevent and combat over-pronation by using firmer foam on the medial side of the shoe. Combined with additional rubber for durability, for a comfortable, confident running experience. The shoes have a late-stage Meta-Rocker for a smooth ride and additional forefoot support. An 87% recycled polyester strobel board provides further structure and support.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Enhancing underfoot stability and traction on varied terrain, the Hoka Gaviota 5's have a durable rubber outsole. The shoes' high-wear rubber compound helps to ensure the shoes have exceptional durability and will provide you with grip throughout your run on multiple surfaces.
