Hoka Speedgoat Mid Waterproof Trail Running Shoes
In any environment, expect a supreme performance from the Hoka Speedgoat Mid Waterproof Trail Running Shoes. Whether you are conquering mountain summits or just a slippery grass field, the extreme grip will not let you down.
Waterproof Upper
Surrounding the top of the shoe, Hoka have coated the shoe with a membrane. This is waterproof and when exposed to liquid on a wet day, the surface will wick it away preventing it from affecting the foot. The material used is a combined one, and certain areas provide ventilation. These mesh panels allow air to enter and exit the shoe, cooling the feet down in the process. The material is thicker towards the front of the shoe, protecting the toes and forefoot from potential bumps and knocks. Securing and tightening for the perfect fit is easily achieved with up the foot laces, and a padded tongue makes sure it is a comfortable one as well. A high ankle sock sits gently on the ankle resulting in a gentle feel, whilst it also acts as an anti-debris net.
CMEVA Midsole
The ultra-thick CMEVA midsole absorbs all impacts underfoot, protecting vulnerable areas of the foot. Extremely thick and cushioned, the whole of the foot is covered. As well as providing protection, weight is transferred evenly, improving the shoe's stability. Energy is also recycled as rebound, so shocks and bumps are then used to give you a spring in your step. For further responsiveness that assists with performance, the shoe uses Hoka's Meta-Rocker geometry midsole. This is a designed heel that offers support in a gait cycle. When running, the sole gently rocks which helps transitions, takeoffs and landings.
Vibram MegaGrip Outsole
Fantastic grip and traction is guaranteed on any surface with the Vibram MegaGrip Hi-Traction Outsole. MegaGrip is an outsole developed by separate brand Vibram, and this specific sole is engineered with trail running in mind. Able to grip just as well on a dry surface as it is on wet ones, the rubber is long-lasting and evenly distributes weight giving optimum balance and stability. It is also adaptable, being able to work in the same way no matter what is happening underfoot. In addition to this, grip and control is enhanced by multi-directional studs. This grip into wet and soft ground, anchoring the body to the ground on landings. This control reduces the risk of slipping and ultimately reduces risk of injury.
