What Is The Hypervolt Plus

Similar to trigger point massage the Hypervolt Plus helps to relieve muscle soreness and stiffness by getting into the layers of the muscles and fascia which in turn helps relieve tension and restores the correct range of motion. The muscles feature thin layers of fascia and what happens during exercise is that it binds these layers of fascia together which is known as adhesions. What the Hypervolt Plus does is breaks the adhesions down helping to clear the way for a full range of motion so you can have maximum mobility throughout your chosen activity.

In addition, the Hypervolt Plus helps to promote circulation to the affected area bringing with it nutrients and fresh oxygen to help process recovery much faster. When you use the Hypervolt Plus you will notice that the area where you are using the device starts to become warm and more red in colour, this is perfect as at this point you know that the device is promoting blood flow and doing its job in helping the muscles release. Battery And Speed Settings

The Hypervolt Plus features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which allows up to 2.5 hours of use per charge for a long-lasting, effective massage. The battery features a battery indicator on the back of the product as well as a battery circle indicator on the battery itself which changes colour from dark green (Fully charged) through light green, yellow, orange and red (About To Run Out).

In terms of speed settings, the Hypervolt Plus features a 3-speed setting that delivers up to 3200 percussions per minute for extremely effective massage working to penetrate deep muscles that need a myofascial release. The first speed equals roughly 2000 percussions a minute and is best for more sensitive areas such as the neck where you don't want it too aggressive, shaking your head and making the experience uncomfortable. The second speed is roughly 2600 percussions a minute and is perfect for slightly denser areas of the body such as the shoulders and pectoral muscles. Lastly, the third-speed setting generates roughly 3200 percussions which is perfect for denser areas of the body such as the glutes, piriformis, quads, hamstrings and the surrounding muscles of the hips. The higher the speed setting, the more the amplitude of force is given which is more effective at releasing tough and tight muscles.

*For attaching the battery: Hold the massager in one hand with the massage point facing right, ensuring the HYPERVOLT Plus label is on the right of the unit. With the battery, make sure the → arrow (pointing to the right) on top of the battery is in alignment with the right side of the massage point. Using the grooves as a guideline the battery should slide into the Hypervolt Plus.

Attachments

The Hypervolt Plus comes with a variety of attachments that works effectively in their own way to get the best possible results. The perfect starting attachment is the ball head. The ball head is softer than the rest of the attachments meaning it is perfect for introducing yourself to this type of myofascial release. The process of releasing and breaking down the fascia that is bound together is in layers, you have to massage it layer by layer. Furthermore, with each layer, you can get deeper within the muscle as it won't be anywhere near as sore but to start with you want to stay at a lighter pressure.

Another attachment is the flat head which features a flat surface and is good for denser parts of the body such as the glutes, quads and even pectoral muscles. The flat head covers more surface area meaning it is a good scanning attachment, scanning to find particular points of tension. The flat head attachment is a perfect multi-purpose tool and can be used on almost any body part with you (the user) finding positive results.

The Hypervolt Plus also features an attachment called the bullet head which is perfect for trigger point work and targets more specific areas of tension. The bullet head is perfect to use after the flathead attachment when you have found particular places that are more sore or need more attention. With the bullet head, it allows you to get deeper into those areas to release the muscle and promote blood flow through the affected area. The bullet head attachment is perfect for working on smaller areas of the body like the feet and ankles. This is the most accurate, pinpointed attachment you could use.

Lastly, an attachment called the forkhead is excellent for muscles such as the trapezius and effective at getting the surrounding soft tissue of the Achilles tendon. The Achilles tendon can sit in between the forkhead with no pressure while either side of the head gets to work in those tight, tender areas. The forkhead is just as effective on the foot and ankle allowing you to promote blood flow to affected areas from either side and at the same time.
