The Protec-Shell is Inov8's most protective running waterproof jacket they have. This jacket is designed for keeping mountain runners and multi-day ultra racers dry and warm in the foulest of conditions, this is one seriously tough piece of kit.
Packed with technical features, including a front zip that curves away from the face for increased comfort and streamline technology on the cuffs that divert water away from the hands. Shaped cuffs with adjustable hook and loop tabs offer ease of use with gloves. Pertex shield pro, 3 layer waterproof fabric with 20,000 HH and taped seams keeps the runner dry and protected in even the wildest of storms.
The Pertex shield pro membrane contains a high concentration of uniformly spaced microporous holes. These have high hydrophobic properties which deliver exceptional comfort and performance. Additionally, an ergonomic hood and extended peak with easy-to-use multi-directional adjustment cords deliver greater protection for the head and improved vision while on the move. Adjustable with a single multi-directional adjustment makes it easier to get the perfect fit for you and taking no time at all to do so.
Streamline technology features in strips on the sleeve cuffs that divert downward flowing water away from the hands and force it to drip off the bottom of the cuff. A full-length front zip curves away from the face to rule out any irritation around the chin area and increases comfort. Deep crossover hand pockets are positioned away from where backpack straps would sit, so essentials stored in the pockets can be easily accessed. A larger sized, easy grab zip pulls aid a quick entry and closure, whilst an internal pocket offers additional storage for smaller items such as a mobile or music device. Lastly, the Protec shell's generous cut makes it easy to layer-up underneath, whilst a lowered hem at the rear adds more protection and coverage, ensuring that you stay well protected from the harsh weather conditions.
