Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale
For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.
The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.

Lightweight, Breathable Mesh Upper
The Inov8 Roadclaw 275 V2 is constructed for improved responsiveness and flexibility for maximum comfort. The synthetic mesh that covers the upper offers lightweight and breathable coverage, allowing air to fully permeate the entire footbed, creating a more enjoyable experience for you as a runner and keeps your feet cool and comfortable when the temperatures rise. The Roadclaw utilises the met-cradle design which secures the midfoot hold that allows you to move naturally. It provides you with greater stability and control throughout.
Additionally, an external heel counter wraps around the rear of the shoe and provides support in the heel delivering this extra hold that aids foot stability. The effect that this has, helps a fatigued runner maintain a better gait cycle.
Powerflow Midsole
Run effortlessly on the roads with the unique Powerflow midsole technology. Powerflow delivers 10% better shock absorption and 15% better energy return than standard midsoles. The reliable underfoot absorption provides greater comfort over miles by reducing forces pressed upon the underfoot platform for a clean strike through transition.
The patented Dynamic Fascia Band (DFB) mimics the 'Windlass Effect' delivering a kick of energy with each step, helping you to move faster and more efficiently. The Inov-8's patented dynamic fascia band technology replicates the anatomical position of the plantar fascia ligament and duplicates the function of the human foot's ability to utilise the 'windless effect'. Originating at the front of the heel's outsole, it extends forward along the outsole and divides into 5 bands that terminate anterior to the metatarsal heads. As body weight moves forward onto the metatarsal heads and the toes begin to extend, tension on the inov-8 fascia band increases. When the heel leaves the ground, the inov-8 fascia band resists elongation of the medial arch and carries the entire body weight of the runner converting the shoe into a rigid propulsive lever.
Tri-C Outsole
The iconic inov-8 outsole grip is optimised for road running and will generate maximum power control. Every ounce of energy generated by the body is transferred to the road through the outsole, with TRI-C outsole delivering traction throughout the gait cycle. The sticky fusion compound is a mix of synthetic rubber and EVA foam for a smooth ride and grip on the road while the Meta-Flex is located at the forefoot to encourage natural forefoot flex during toe-off. At the rear, an external heel counter provides added protection and durability at heel strike. For ultimate security, the ROAD CLAW is 100% sure-footed on any road.
