Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale

For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.

The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.

Synthetic Upper

Discover a new level of confidence and the ability to run faster than you ever thought possible overall soft and extreme terrain. The X-Talon 230 is the perfect shoe for fell, mountain, trail and cross-country running as well as obstacle course racing.

The synthetic upper materials such as the protective rand and gusseted tongue are both non-water absorbing, meaning the shoe remains at its lightweight best. The protective rand and gusseted tongue work together in harmony to ensure outstanding protection against stones and other types of debris. the upper offers a tough mesh and overlays that protect the foot from the tricky terrain as well as work hard to provide comfort. The mesh allows air to permeate the show providing a constant supply of fresh cool air, whilst the overlays work to keep structure and support.

Additionally, the met cradle works endlessly to ensure the midfoot section of the shoes locks the foot down in place to provide a more stable and comfortable ride, whilst preventing any slipping from occurring within the shoes. On the shoe gaiter hooks offer a more secure attachment system that allows the wearer to attach the All Terrain Gaiter which is sold separately.

Powerflow+ Midsole

This update of the classic X-Talon offers more comfort with Powerflow+ technology which delivers increased shock absorption and energy return when compared to standard midsoles. Powerflow+ delivers 10% better shock absorption and 25% better energy return than standard midsoles. In addition, a second-generation Meta-Plate is a plate that protects the underfoot from sharp rocks. The 3-finger polymer meta-shank aligns with the metatarsals for greater forefoot flexibility and control when contouring, whilst retains underfoot impact protection.

StickyGrip Outsole

The X-Talon 230 features a new to the industry outsole rubber compound unique to Inov8 called StickyGrip. This rubber compound delivers better traction than its predecessor over both wet and dry underfoot conditions. the X-Talons iconic 8mm studs not only claw through soft terrain but also hold firm on the harder ground making these shoes perfect for a variety of trails. the shoes utilise multi-direction lugs of Inov-8' own design, Providing optimal traction when climbing, descending and contouring.
