Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale
For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.
The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.
Inov8 have graded the Terraultra 260 Trail Running Shoes as Grade 5.
Exterofit Upper
A super breathable mesh upper surrounds the Terraultra 260 allowing air to permeate within the shoe, aiding with cooling and retaining a drier environment within the interior for greater comfort over the miles. Exterofit technology reacts to the natural movement and swelling of the foot allowing for the perfect fit at all times. Additionally, a gusseted tongue prevents debris from entering the shoe and provides exceptional comfort whilst an on-the-shoe gaiter hook offers a more secure attachment system, allowing you to attach an all-terrain gaiter to the shoe.
Exteroflow Midsole
Infused with exteroflow, the midsole provides high levels of underfoot cushioning without compromising on ground feel. The cushioning absorbs shock impacts minimising the shock when your foot hits the ground, allowing for a more efficient gait. A DFB shank delivers a kick of energy with each step helping you to move faster an more efficiently. The shank also minimises the 'windlass effect' reducing the risks of repetitive injury.
E-Grip Outsole
Inov8's E-grip outsole provides unparalleled grip keeping you grounded on hard trails. 4mm cleats, each with water dispersal channels, prevents aquaplaning and gives maximum grip on the wettest of trails whilst grooves in the outsole provide multidirectional flexibility. The zero drop ensures high levels of exteroception and allows the shoe to move naturally with the foot allowing for a natural gait. This zero-drop shoe makes you feel like you can run forever.
