Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale
For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.
The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.
Inov8 have graded the Roclite G345 GORE-TEX V2 Walking Boots as Grade 3.
GORE-TEX Upper
The Roclite G345 GORE-TEX v2 Walking Shoes utilise a GORE-TEX membrane in the uppers, to provide you with a waterproof layer of protection. The GORE-TEX membrane works to repel rain and water, in order to keep your feet dry, even in worse weather conditions. Not only this, but the updated upper includes a tighter-weave material, which is 40% stronger than what is used in the 1st version, and will repel even more dirt and debris, keeping feet comfortable. The woven upper construction allows feet to breathe under pressure, preventing an uncomfortable build-up of moisture and warmth. The newly updated upper material works better to protect the GORE-TEX membrane, enhancing the longevity of the shoes and providing you with a walking shoe you can really rely on. The G345 V2s also utilise a superior twin-cradle heel lock system to keep your foot supported and stable when walking on changing terrain. The walking boots have a fully padded tongue and Lycra padded ankle cuff to provide you with a greater level of comfort, preventing irritation from occurring. Working alongside this, the boots have a synced lacing mechanism with speed hooks in order to prevent in-shoe slipping and to keep your foot secure inside the shoes.
Powerflow Max Midsole
The midsole provides high levels of underfoot cushioning without compromising on ground feel. Powerflow Max delivers greater bounce and energy return whilst also providing ample durability so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. The cushioning absorbs, stores and then releases energy to propel you through the gait cycle. By minimising shocks when your foot hits the ground, the midsole ensures a smooth, comfortable transition and reduces the risks of repetitive injury. As well as this, the midsole also boasts a super durable boomerang footbed which increases cushioning and adds spring to your step. The footbed delivers 40% more rebound to ensure a responsive ride and a 6mm EVA foam resides underfoot to provide a comfortably cushioned landing.
Graphene G-Grip Outsole
To provide you with exceptional grip and traction on changing terrain, the Roclite G345 GORE-TEX V2s have a Graphene G-Grip Outsole compound. This is constructed using the world's strongest materials to ensure the shoes are exceptionally durable, providing you with reliability underfoot. Working in tandem, the outsole retains the super-tough 6mm long Graphene-enhanced G-Grip lugs that work to bite into the ground and ensure you're provided hardwearing traction across all types of terrains. Finally, a flexible 2nd generation Meta-Plate rockplate protects you underfoot from rocks and sharp debris.
