Flexible Ripstop Upper

Forming the upper, a new super-tough yet flexible ripstop material provides excellent breathability and drainage without compromising on durability. Any water that enters the Inov8 Mudtalon Speed Trail Running Shoes is able to exit again just as fast so that your feet remain comfortable throughout your run. Connecting the midfoot, lacing system and the heel, zig-zag-shaped MET-CRADLE material overlays ensure a locked-in, secure hold throughout wear. This is thanks to the midfoot and heel being pulled in with the laces, creating a perfect fit and feel. A gusseted tongue adds to the overall comfort by sitting comfortably against the top of the foot when the laces are pulled tight and preventing any debris from slipping down past the laces and into the shoe causing discomfort. Adding extra durability, the front of the Mudtalon Speed from Inov8 features a toe guard for enhanced protection against rocks and other obstacles on the trail.

A new shape, featuring on all new Inov8 footwear in 2024, has been designed to hug the natural contours of your foot, locking in at the heel and widening at the toes. This new design brings more comfort, greater confidence and unhindered performance. Incorporated within this new shape are two new fits; Precision Fit for a closer feel and extra nimbleness over tricky terrain and Wide for a relaxed feel and extra comfort over longer distances.

POWERFLOW PRO Foam Midsole

Offering a bouncy, cushioned ride that retains high levels of responsiveness, the Inov8 Mudtalon Speed Trail Running Shoes feature a new superlight POWERFLOW PRO foam midsole. Allowing for the ground feel you need when running over uneven terrains, this new foam helps to provide confident footing while also ensuring brilliant underfoot comfort and propulsion for the trail. A new, lighter version of the 6mm thick BOOMERANG footbed has hundreds of expanded TPU beads that compress and spring back for further enhanced energy return and cushioning for a soft and springy ride. This footbed also now features more perforations than before to help water evaporate and transfer out of the shoe for added comfort. Allowing you to dance over technical ground and sharp rocks with confidence in every step, a flexible META-SHANK rock plate means that you can be certain that your feet are protected. The addition of this flexible plate won't hinder your movements thanks to its flexibility still allowing your feet to move naturally with a feel for the terrain underneath.

STICKYGRIP Rubber Outsole

The Mudtalon Speed from Inov8 features a renowned STICKYGRIP rubber that has been enhanced with even more stickiness. This means that the newly shaped 8mm lugs gouge through mud and cling better to wet rocks, providing you with secure and confident footing on a variety of surfaces. These lugs have been carefully positioned in multiple directions so that they can shed all mud and provide optimal traction when climbing, descending and contouring. Flex grooves, including a new vertical one that can be found beside your big toe, also feature underfoot to give even more uphill spring whilst bigger shaped lugs in high-wear areas help to enhance the lifespan of the outsole.
