The Tasman is a brilliant jacket for high-octane cycling trips in cool, windy conditions. The jacket has a hybrid design that combines an elasticated back and sleeves with a windproof, insulated front.
This hybrid jacket is perfect for fast paced sports. Constructed using a PFC-free durable water repellent, the jacket sheds light rain water, helping to keep you dry. The entire front of the jacket is reinforced with windproof Stormlock fabric to shield you from the headwind and has a down fill for extra warmth. Down boasts an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, a high level of heat retention and a small pack size. The 90/10 duckdown fill within the Tasman provides a high level of heat retention. The hood is filled with Microguard, a synthetic fibre interlining that works to reflect the body's heat and improve heat retention properties by 20%, so if the wind is really whistling round your ears, just pull up the hood and keep on pedalling.
The sleeves and back of the Tasman consist of a soft and very stretchy fabric that allows the skin to breathe and dries fast, so you won't feel cold after you've worked up a sweat. This stretch fabric allows you to move better in every direction, as your clothing choice should never inhibit your performance. The breathable construction means cool air can permeate the construction and hot muggy air can escape, preventing intolerable heat build ups and keeping you comfortable, as we know how overheating can ruin an activity. 2 hand pockets provide storage space for your adventure essentials or a refuge for your chilly hands. A cable duct provides easy use of headphones whilst wearing the Tasman, whilst reflectors keep you visible in low-light conditions.
