Jack Wolfskin Mountaineer 32 Backpack
The MOUNTAINEER 28 is a great pack for ski touring in the Rocky Mountains - or climbing in the Alps. This pack was developed in collaboration with the mountain guides at the Alpine School Innsbruck.
The packs in the Mountaineer series were specifically designed for mountain sports with packing options for all your equipment. Your trekking poles or ice axe can be lashed to the front of the pack. The main compartment can be easily accessed via a U-shaped zip for easy packing and retrieval of your kit. The anchor-shaped zip pullers make it very easy to open and close the pack. You can stow your keys, ID and energy bar in the small front pocket, and the two side pockets are large enough to accommodate a water bottle. To keep all of your equipment dry and protected, the backpack is completely waterproof and will keep your items protected. Climbing equipment can be clipped to the gears loops on the waist belt for easy access. Designed usign Ergo X-Transition, this is an ergonomically designed back system with reduced contact surfaces for superior back ventilation and flexibility of movement. The Chaintech 210D is an abrasion resistant, high tenacity fabric used on the base and body of the backpack maintaining a high level of durability. If you want to go fast and light, the MOUNTAINEER can be stripped down to make a lightweight soft pack. Simply take out the frame and remove the lid pocket, side compression straps, waist belt and sternum strap.
