Function 65 is a hybrid fabric composed of a certified organic cotton blend, its waxed finish ensures that it is both windproof and water repellent while being quick drying for comfortable wear. The Stormlock water-resistant fabric repels light rain and works hard to block out cold winds. The water repellent coating is 100% PFC-free, so you can wear the Douglas Jacket with a clear conscience, knowing you're supporting the environment with sustainable clothing production. As well as this, Function 65 is robust and highly breathable, the fabrication allows cool air to flow throughout the garment whilst, at the same time allowing hot, humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. Combined with this, Stormlock technology is extremely tough, this hard-wearing composition is built to last extremely long and is abrasion resistant, making it ideal for adventurous and active outdoor pursuits where durability and performance are essential. And with abrasion-resistant reinforcements on the shoulders, carrying a heavy pack on the way to the hostel or airport is no problem.
To ensure added protection on cold winter days, the fixed hood can be used to shield the face in harsh weather. The hood features an adjustable volume and field of vision to ensure a close and comfortable fit that won't affect your vision. The full zip is perfect for any expedition; the zips can be worn closed to seal in escaping heat or when temperatures rise it can be worn open to release an intolerable heat build-up. The full zip also allows for an easy on and off for quick transitions as you go. Two hand pockets can store essential items or they can warm your hands when the mercury drops.
