PFCs (per- and poly-fluoride chemicals) are substances used on the surfaces of items to give them water-repellent or fat-repellent properties, which is the reason they are mainly used in waterproof trousers and jackets. As it is still not clear which PFCs are "good" (i.e. degradable) and which ones are not, we took the decision to eliminate them all from our entire collection. We are now very close to attaining our goal: all our clothing and equipment are now completely PFC-free.
