Waterproof Leather Upper
Developed to provide durability and breathability, the Basin Ridge has been constructed using a waterproof leather and performance mesh upper. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear whilst the performance mesh allows the feet to breathe by increasing ventilation. The lightweight and supportive mesh swathe the foot in breathable comfort to ensure you remain cool and comfortable at all times. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. Keen Dry technology is also incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture which is inevitable during exercise. The breathable membrane keeps your feet cool, dry and comfortable as it wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of KeenDry keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worst. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. A removable dual-density EVA insole also features within the midsole to provide added cushioning and support. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. With built-in arch support, the insole cradles the heel and reduced impacts to ensure complete comfort as you strike down. As well as this, Keen's ECO Anti-Odour technology has also been used on the insole to reduce odour causing bacteria. The insole feature probiotic technology that naturally breaks down odour in sweat without heavy metals or hazardous chemicals.
