GORE-TEX Upper
La Sportiva have used GORE-TEX Technology within the upper to provide waterproof, water-resistant and full weather protection properties to keep your feet dry and protected at all times. The technology works to repel water as you tackle the weather in your quest for the best results and performance. Excess sweat and moisture are actively wicked away to leave your feet cool, dry and comfortable. The breathable nature of the upper also encourages cool air to circulate, improving ventilation and delivering a healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. As well as providing protection, the shoe is highly durable as you continually put it through its paces.
An integrated gaiter has been specifically designed for off-road running in winter months when the weather is harsh. This is ideal for snowshoeing or as a great apres-ski boot. A quick and precise internal lacing system with an articulated gaiter zipper offers excellent protection while an "easy in" speed fitting system lets you easily slide the shoe on and off to provide all-encompassing coverage. High-density nylon is situated in the rear cuff for added protection and support.
EVA Midsole
The Crossover 2.0 uses an EVA injected midsole which differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles for a high degree of cushioning and enhanced elasticity of the fabric. These features assist "push off" during the propulsion phase while running, making these models ideal for use in off-road trails. Also, EVA injected midsoles reduce the "squash" effect of the EVA over time, allowing the product to maintain the same characteristics and high performance for its entire duration. A TPU stabiliser enhances protection and offers resistance against abrasion.
FriXion AT Outsole
The sole is made from Dual-Density FriXion AT V-Groove with Impact Brake System. FriXion AT is used on dual rubber soles which give the perfect combination of grip, durability and shock absorption. The innovative system of Impact Brake System is applied to the sole to absorb negative ground impact, to help improve downhill grip. It offers real advantages during racing by reducing negative ground impact. With the position of the lugs allowing many of them as possible to come into contact with the ground, it ensures maximum impact absorption on traverse routes, uphill and downhill, both on soft terrain and hard ground.
