La Sportiva TX4 R Women's Walking Shoes

A special edition of the iconic TX4 model. The TX4 R utilises classic logo details referencing the mythical slogan 'Climbing on the Moon' and uses historical colours that characterise the years of climbing, to provide you a real tribute to the origins of La Sportiva.

Suede Upper

Providing you with an exceptional level of protection and comfort, the TX4 Rs utilise a suede leather upper. The hard-wearing suede leather uppers give provide a strong, sturdy feel, and can take anything the trails and mountains throw at them. This shoe is a highly structured, durable and long-lasting part of the Traverse X series. Alongside this, the shoes have a mesh lining, meaning feet are kept cool and comfortable, even when things begin to heat up, due to the enhancement of airflow provided by the mesh construction. Strategically placed perforation within the lining allows air to flow easily, therefore reducing uncomfortable heat build-up, and preventing the growth of moisture. A protective rubber mudguard and protective rubber toecap shield your feet when traversing across difficult terrain. This addition prevents injury or discomfort caused by knocks and bumps when on the trail, allowing you to remain focused. The traditional La Sportiva climbing lace-up system derived from the Mythos model, regulates tension and internal volume in one easy move, allowing your full focus to be on the journey ahead.

EVA Midsole

An EVA compound resides through the midsole section of the TX4 Rs, offering feet with outstanding stress and impact resistance properties while retaining a comfortable fit. The compound protects your foot from the impact, collisions, and stress that can often be endured during long adventures outdoors. The TX4 has taken inspiration from mountain running shoes in this regard; the shock absorption and flexibility seen in this shoe uses technology that's used in more traditional trail running shoes, making the TX4 an outstanding all-around choice. Alongside this, the shoes have an Ortholite Hybrid Approach sockliner, providing you with additional underfoot cushioning and comfort.

Vibram MegaGrip Outsole

Providing you with the necessary grip and traction across the changing conditions of your hike or climb, the TX4 Rs have a Vibram MegaGrip outsole construction with Impact Brake System and Climbing zones included. This outsole is designed especially for adventuring climbing routes and return trails on technical conditions and using TPU components on the heel to optimise the stability of the shoe, even when traversing more difficult terrains. The outsole has a RESOLE PLATFORM which is a sole package designed for quick and easy resoling by replacing the tread.
