GORE-TEX Upper

The upper of the Zion Mid walking boot has been constructed using a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane to provide you with optimum comfort and protection as you take on the trail. The GORE-TEX membrane works tirelessly to keep your feet dry as well as allowing exceptional breathability for a drier, healthier environment. Additionally, a breathable mesh lining actively and efficiently wicks away the build-up of excess sweat and moisture, leaving your feet cool, dry and comfortable as you strive for the best results and performance. A full-grain leather material adds exceptional quality and resilience to the upper without sacrificing comfort.

Merrell have incorporated a bellows tongue to the boot, providing resistance against debris and objects typically found on the rough, unpredictable terrain. A protective rubber toe cap helps to keep the susceptible area from becoming damaged or vulnerable to the aforementioned debris. A secure lacing system offers a comfortable, locked-in feel as you move with metal eyelets and webbing loops for further security. Rounding off the upper is a kinetic fit removable contoured insole for flexible support.

EVA Foam Midsole

The EVA foam midsole compound oozes cushioning and comfort for a plush feel during every step. While the primary function of the midsole is to deliver underfoot cushioning, it does also boast supportive properties to stabilise your feet, especially on difficult and unpredictable terrain. The midsole also includes dual-density EVA foam pods in both the rear and forefoot, providing extra cushioning for a supreme feel and optimum performance. A lightweight FlexPlate technology provides torsional rigidity for extra stability and control.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

A Vibram Megagrip compound adorns the outsole of the Zion mid walking boot, delivering exceptional grip and traction on the toughest and most rigorous of terrain. With an array of aggressive lugs, you can be sure of a firm footing, with the facility to move with freedom in every direction. The lugs have been strategically placed to allow sharp, aggressive and lateral movements to help maximise your grip and control for all occasions.
