GORE-TEX Upper
The Thermo Rogue 2 Mid GORE-TEX Walking Boots from Merrell are constructed using GORE-TEX technology. GORE-TEX is a fully waterproof membrane which blocks out water but is also superbly breathable, allowing the wearer to stay dry, cool and comfortable as they perform in harsh weather conditions.
In addition, the upper is based on mesh and TPU that enhance ventilation and stability. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. TPU aids durability as well as enhancing structural integrity, providing protection on uneven terrain. Other features on the upper a BOA lacing system, which makes it extremely easy to secure the shoes for the perfect fit.
Furthermore, A protective toe cap provides extreme protection to the toes while on unpredictable terrain, protecting from rocks and other trail hazards. Inside the upper M-select fresh is suited to everyone. Long-lasting M-Select Fresh prevents sweat and moisture from affecting the freshness of your shoes. In addition to the M-Select Fresh, Merrell has added 100 grams Primaloft Gold Series Aerogel insulation. Primaloft insulation is a lightweight, low bulk insulation technology that keeps you comfortable and warm during testing conditions. There is an additional 1.5mm extra Primaloft Aerogel surrounding the forefoot and toes, which will mean it will trap in heat when you need it most. Lastly, a Kinetic Fit Base insole is contoured like your foot and provides flexible, intuitive support for the connected and protected movement. this acts as the first step of cushioning for your foot, therefore, needs to fulfil the requirements of comfort.
Compression Moulded EVA Midsole
The compression moulded platform in the midsole features anatomically-inspired dual-directional flex grooves that support the natural motion of the foot. Vibram Arctic Grip Outsole
The Vibram Arctic Grip is the most advanced cold weather gripping system ever created by Vibram, providing 3x more traction on wet, icy surfaces compared to other outsole systems.
