Twill Canvas Upper

Lightweight and comfortable, the upper of the Merrell Catalyst Walking Shoes has been constructed using a twill canvas. The canvas upper sits comfortably against the skin and provides lightweight durability and abrasion resistance. Rubber has also been used in specific areas on the upper that are often the most vulnerable to knocks and scrapes. The rubber is mainly placed around the toes, arch and heel to provides durability and abrasion resistance on rocky terrain. A breathable mesh lining has also been used on the upper to increase ventilation. The lining allows cool air to flow throughout the garment whilst at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Completing the upper is a traditional lace closure system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage.

EVA Midsole

The midsole has been constructed using different technologies to ensure long-lasting comfort and increased cushioning. EVA within the midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear.
