Waterproof PU Coated Upper
M-Select dry kick starts this walking shoe off with an impermeable membrane that seals out water and lets moisture escape. This unique technology provides outside protection when you're on the move. M-Select Dry products shed external moisture from precipitation and wet ground conditions while allowing moisture from physical activity to escape to give you dry comfort inside and out. Furthermore, the upper offers a waterproof PU coated leather and mesh to provide superb weather protection, ventilation and durability.
The upper is constructed from suede and quilted nylon that enhance ventilation and stability. Air can fully permeate the upper providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. The suede adds durability as well as enhancing the structural integrity, providing protection on uneven terrain.
Merrell has added their own M-Select Warm into the upper. M-Select warm is lightweight, low bulk insulation technology that keeps you comfortable and warm during testing conditions. The M-Select Grip is specifically tuned to match your activities. The M-Select Grip outsole roots itself in performance design and materials to deliver durable, highly slip-resistant traction on the wet and dry ground as well as over mixed terrain. The outsole also releases dirt and debris thanks to the specialised lugs. The Rubber compound is a tear resistant, durable outsole that features a self-cleaning lug design, these features help the shoe grip to anything in any weather. The lugs are all over the outsole with some around the edges that grip for lateral movement and some that are angled allowing them to cut through any terrain.
