M-Select Dry Upper
Surrounding the upper of the boot, it is covered by waterproof and salt-resistant leather. The outside of the shoe will block all moisture from entering the boots and causing discomfort and damage. As well as this, the salt-resistance of the leather will mean salt from seawater will be removed instantly, preventing it from causing stains and holding moisture on the surface of the boot. An M Select DRY impermeable membrane within the boot will act as another barrier to prevent moisture from entering the boot and coming into contact with the feet. It will, however, allow moisture from within the shoe to escape out of it, as well as allowing air in and out. This will mean that your feet will be able to stay cool and ventilated by a constant flow, maintaining the conditions for exceptional comfort. Thick and sturdy material surrounds the toes and heel, which will provide you with protection from any knocks and stability to keep you in a firm and upright position. A traditional lace closure system with metal hooks and D-rings make it easy to secure the boots to a comfortable fit. A bellows tongue sits comfortably on the ankle and will keep all debris and dirt out. The ankle collar is soft and padded, reducing the risk of irritation being caused by rubbing and chafing.
Compression Moulded EVA Midsole
The compression moulded platform in the midsole features anatomically-inspired dual-directional flex grooves that support the natural motion of the foot. This technology promotes upward and downward flexibility for agility and stability on uneven terrain. Underneath the heel, there is a Merrell Air Cushion, which will absorb all shocks and improve stability for protection. The EVA unit works endlessly to reduce and disperse impact forces away from the foot providing a plush and comfortable feeling with every step. Additionally, the midsole offers a moulded nylon arch shank that provides excellent underfoot protection. This technology protects the underfoot from sharp rocks or objects that you may come across on the trail. A removable Kinetic Fit insole will provide you with a contoured soft and comfortable feel directly underfoot, which will also give flexible support.

This high-performance rubber compound gifts you with an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. Unlike other Vibram outsoles, predator features a gum rubber component on the heel and forefoot to ensure added traction and stability. The Vibram rubber is built for extremely slippery terrain as it can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure.
