Merrell Moab Speed 2 Leather Mid Waterproof Women's Walking Boots

Designed using premium nubuck leather and utilising a mix of materials, the Moab Speed 2 Leather Waterproof is a stylised and modern approach to a leather hiking boot for the autumn season. A waterproof membrane has been equipped to keep feet dry, and moisture-free, whilst technical materials keep things breathable, locked in and extremely comfortable underfoot.

Waterproof Moulded Leather Upper

Shielding feet from the constantly changing weather conditions, and keeping them fresh and comfortable even during the more intense adventures, the Moab Speed 2 Leather utilises a moulded leather material with a waterproof membrane through the upper. This construction is waterproof to prevent water and rain from getting feet wet, and the moulded leather is combined with synthetic and textile materials for high durability to protect feet from knocks and bumps on the trail. The protective and abrasion resistant synthetic heel further protects feet. The materials are highly moisture-wicking to help eliminate sweat, especially during the more intense periods of your journey. The padded mid height collar reduces the risk of irritation or abrasion from occurring during excessive movement. A bellows tongue keeps out debris, and a leather heel pull tab provides an easy on-and-off construction. The 100% recycled breathable mesh lining increases the comfort level and allows for great airflow. Finally, the boots utilise recycled laces and webbing for a locked-in secure fit, which helps to reduce in-boot slipping for comfortable, confident strides. Metal hook eyelets further help to lock in the fit.

FloatPro Foam Midsole

To ensure a comfortable, soft and cushioned landing when traversing changing terrains and difficult hiking conditions, the boots have a FloatPro Foam midsole. This lightweight compound ensures non-stop in-boot cosiness and offers support to areas of your foot that need an extra level of cushioning. Absorbing shocks when striking down when walking on changing terrain, the boots help to reduce the risk of injuries or discomfort on those long hiking adventures. The boots also utilise Merrell's lightweight FlexPlate technology, which provides torsional rigidity, lateral stability and added forefoot flexibility. The Moab Speed 2 Leather has a Cleansport NXT treatment, which provides natural odour control, to keep you feeling and smelling fresher for longer. Underfoot, a 50% recycled removable EVA foam footbed with a 100% recycled mesh cover delivers step-in comfort.

Vibram TC5+ Outsole

Optimising underfoot grip and traction when hiking multiple terrains and conditions, the Moab Speed 2 Leather has a Merrell-specific Vibram TC5+ outsole. This provides exceptional traction and grip during outdoor multi-sport activities, so you can feel confident in your hiking footwear. The rubber of the outsole is highly durable, meaning it stands up against tough conditions, and keeps you stable on all types of surfaces. Adorning the outsole are 4mm Vibram traction lugs, which have been designed to increase traction as well as shed debris during each step, keeping your boots cleaner and you focused during those muddy, wet explorations.
