Suede and Nylon Upper
The upper of the Merrell Bravada Edge 2 has been created by combining Suede and Nylon, by doing so, the boots are provided with durability and a soft comfortable feel on foot. Incorporated into the upper Merrell have included a waterproof membrane, designed to seal out water and let moisture escape, by doing this your feet can stay dry whilst hot air escapes the other way. By featuring this technology the boots are able to provide your feet with the best climate to thrive in even on the coldest of days. Inside the boots, keeping your feet toasty and warm, Merrell have added a 100% recycled fleece lining with an additional 100g of insulation. Finishing the boots are recycled laces for a locked-down fit and a bellowed tongue which is designed to keep dirt and debris out, keeping you comfortable at all times.
Super Rebound Compound Midsole
The midsole of the Merrell Bravada Edge 2 Thermo Boots is a Super Rebound Compound which provides durable shock absorption in the heel to help reduce torque and allow for a smooth transition into the midfoot. Not only this, the midsole offers great energy return, reducing fatigue and keeping you feeling fresher for longer when out on a long hike. A moulded Nylon arch shank provides a supportive structure that resides between the insole and the outsole; diminishing the load incurred on your feet and calves over the course of your adventure the moulded Nylon arch shank further helps to reduce fatigue. Merrell have also added their Air Cushion technology, which is a sealed unit located in the heel section. It can absorb up to four times your weight and help to correctly align your feet within the boots for a more comfortable and stable walk or hike. Finishing the midsole unit a fully fleece-lined, removable EVA foam footbed provides you with instant comfort. This has also been treated to prevent the build-up of bacteria, keeping you feeling fresh all day long.
