TPU Waterproof Upper

Constructed using a TPU Waterproof Shell Upper, the Merrell Overlook 6 Ice Waterproof Walking Boots work hard to keep your feet feeling dry and comfortable. The shell quickly and efficiently repels any moisture that lands on its surfaces to keep you comfortable and dry at all times. As well as this, the boot has M-Select DRY, a waterproof membrane developed by Merrell to keep your feet dry and ventilated. The whole of the upper is surrounded by an impermeable membrane which seals out moisture, stopping any of it from entering and coming into contact with your feet. From the inside, the membrane will still allow moisture to exit, which will mean that as you become more active and begin to sweat, the membrane will allow moisture to exit to keep you feeling ventilated and fresh. For increased warmth when the temperatures start to plummet, the boots have a 200-gram M-Select Warm insulating layer. This will keep your feet warm in freezing temperatures whilst it also will not have a lot of bulk, keeping it comfortable and light. Finishing off the insulation, the boots have a Conductor fleece lining which again increases warmth. Thick and sturdy material surrounds the toes and heel, which will provide you with protection from any knocks and stability to keep you in a firm and upright position. A traditional lace closure system which runs all the way up the foot will make it easy to secure the boots to a comfortable fit. A bellows tongue sits comfortably on the ankle and will keep all debris and dirt out.

EVA Midsole

Within the midsole of the Merrell Overlook 6 Ice Waterproof Walking Shoe lies an EVA platform which promotes stability and plush comfort for all-day wear. The EVA midsole spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces and acts as an excellent and durable shock absorber. Underneath the heel, there is a Merrell Air Cushion, which will absorb all shocks and improve stability for protection. The EVA unit works endlessly to reduce and disperse impact forces away from the foot providing a plush and comfortable feeling with every step. Additionally, the midsole offers a moulded nylon arch shank that provides excellent underfoot protection. This technology protects the underfoot from sharp rocks or objects that you may come across on the trail. Completing the midsole is a single density removable footbed which offers additional underfoot comfort for longer distance days.

Vibram Arctic Grip

Constrcuted using Vibram Arctic Grip, the Merrell Overlook 6 Ice Waterproof Walking Shoes provide unparalleled traction on ice even in the most extreme winter conditions. Designed to provide enhanced traction on snow and ice, Vibram arctic grip ensures stable footing for long winter walks. The extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place in varied weather conditons. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. The Vibram Arctic Grip is the most advanced cold weather gripping system ever created by Vibram, providing 3x more traction on wet, icy surfaces compared to other outsole systems. As well as this, the white lugs colour changes in cold conditions to signals that the Arctic Grip Technology is working. Completing the outsole are 4.5mm lugs which offer a full range of flexibility for superior grip and traction on wet or dry trails.
