Mizuno Wave Horizon 2 Running Shoes
Feel cushioning like you've never felt before with the Mizuno Wave Horizon 2 Running Shoes. Complete with new features and technologies, the ultra-lightweight construction will transform the way you run.
Lightweight Mesh Upper
The synthetic material used in the upper part of the shoe uses Mizuno's developed AIRmesh. This allows the running shoes to have a high standard of breathability, keeping the feet ventilated throughout the course of your run. This will work to maintain the comfort of the feet, meaning that you will be able to push further than you have before. As well as this, sweat from within the shoes is wicked away from the material, keeping your feet feeling fresh, whilst not letting the liquid add to the weight of the shoe. A snug fit around the foot ensures that the shoe is tailored for any foot shape, whilst it also sits gently on the feet for comfort. Thicker material coverage over the toes provides protection from bumps and knocks, whilst the heel is also held in position with stronger sides. Up the feet laces and a padded gusseted tongue allow you to find a perfect fit with comfort and ease.
Wave Midsole
Multiple technologies are used in the midsole, which gives it supreme cushioning, whilst remaining as lightweight as possible. The Mizuno Wave midsole provides both cushioning and stability. The unique shape of it disperses energy across it evenly, and as a result, makes the ride smoother and more cushioned. Smooth Ride technology makes acceleration and deceleration become a lot smoother, assisting with changes of pace. Within the midsole, it uses U4IC, a compound that provides high performance whilst remaining lightweight. Further to this, it also contains U4ICX, a lightweight material that reduces stress and provides high rebounds. Rebounds are also assisted with a Pebux Powered Wave Plate. This lightweight plate creates an energy return giving you an added spring in your step to propel you further along. Working to keep the overall temperature inside the shoe low, Mizuno Intercool solves the problem of overheating. A full-length ventilation system inside the sole removes heat and humidity through a series of ventilation channels. The whole construction uses the DynamationFit system, which uses a highly advanced motion capture and biomechanics technology to assist individual gaits. This means that the shoe will work with you and adapt accordingly.
X1O Outsole
Durability and traction are guaranteed with the X10 outsole. Mizuno use carbon rubber in their outsole which allows for longevity. The high impact areas are stronger to retain long-term properties, whilst heel strike has and forefoot areas have greater traction. Grooves and lugs spread when stretched, which will make mud and water escape, so as not to compromise the performance of the shoe. The rubber will create a sold bond between bottom of shoe and the ground to ensure that you stay in firm control.
