Air Mesh Upper

Desgined to keep you cool and comfortable at all times, the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 9 Running Shoes have been constructed using an AirMesh Upper. Ensuring a constant airflow, the newly designed upper keeps you cooler and drier for longer, especially during tough runs. The engineered mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the construction whilst, at the same time, allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The increase in airflow creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. The fit of the upper is enhanced, due to the anatomically specific placed overlays. This will mean that the shoe will identify your foot shape and adjust to provide a close fit, which will improve comfort. The traditional lacing system works to lock down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. The laces will always find a secure and comfortable fit, whilst the tongue is soft and padded to ensure a comfortable feel on the foot.

Infinity Wave Midsole

The midsole os the Mizuno Wave Creation 21 is designed to provide lightweight cushioning that keeps you going all day long. Constructed using two of Mizuno signature technologies the midsole ensures you are always supported; Mizuno wave technology in the heel delivers comfort and support whilst U4icx in the forefoot ensure added cuhsioning and higher rebound. Mizuno's Wave technology is embedded into the heel to provide flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising the comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from that is harnessed and is then transferred to the forefoot to then push you off and guide you onto the next movement. The Infinity Wave features two parallel plates that sit together with soft cushioning pillars in between to provide unrivalled cushioning and improved durability by absorbing and dispersing the impact at foot-strike. A Pebax powered wave plate ensures lightweight energy return whilst while U4icX absorbs impact for the smoothest ride possible. This will mean that you will have a soft and cushioned landing on every step that you take. The compound is also extremely lightweight, which will help to keep the overall weight of the shoe down.

X10 Outsole

The midsole and outsole technologies work together with SmoothRide technology to provide a fluid, rocking-chair-like transition. As the foot hits the ground, SmoothRide Engineering kicks in with heel flex grooves promoting a natural back-to-front movement. The forefoot flex grooves and flex controllers then work together to continue the smooth forward motion resulting in an efficient fluid motion that allows runners to harness their power. The outsole is made with X10 which is the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
