GORE-TEX Upper

A waterproof GORE-TEX membrane comprises the upper to deliver weather protection and keep your feet dry from the elements. Having the exceptional protection will enable your feet to remain dry, no matter what the weather throws at you. Despite the reinforced material and protection, the technology does not sacrifice either comfort or performance.

AirMesh is also used in the construction of the upper as it's extremely lightweight and comfortable. The mesh encases each foot in breathable comfort allowing air to fully permeate the entire upper. This construction provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides during intense activity.

In addition, the no-sew upper makes the construction extremely lightweight as well as super comfortable. This construction eliminates the chances of chafing and skin irritation, keeping you feeling lightweight and comfortable throughout any run. A DynamotionFit system is added by Mizuno which uses the latest motion capture and biomechanics technology, Mizuno's blueprint was designed to engineer shoes that work with the foot's gait cycle.

A synthetic overlay system wraps around the mesh and protects it from trail hazards. The overlays enhance durability while out on the trail as well as provide an optimised fit and feel when running. A protective toe cap provides protection on the unpredictable trail and prevents anything from ending you run short. Wave Technology Midsole

Mizuno have used their innovative wave technology in the Ibuki which uniformly disperses shock throughout the sole, providing excellent cushioning and enhanced stability. The Mizuno wave provides flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The wave absorbs the shock without compromising the comfort or cushioning while the initial shock is then transferred back to guide the athlete onto their next movement. The Mizuno wave presents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilize and guide the foot forward for better gait efficiency.

The midsole unit is constructed from Mizuno's EL8 compound which is A lightweight midsole compound providing high level cushioning and rebound for energy efficient runs.
