Mizuno Wave Mujin 10 Trail Running Shoes

Breathable Mesh Upper

The upper of the Wave Mujin 10 has been created with a lightweight and breathable mesh. The lightweight material works as a second skin for a barely-there feel that allows air to circulate whilst simultaneously removing built-up heat - keeping you cool and comfortable throughout your run. The mesh is highly durable and can withstand scrapes, knocks and trail debris. This is further enhanced by overlays across the toes and to the side which also protect the feet. Not only this, but the overlays provide additional structure, with support panels running from the midfoot to the heel side to maintain secure foot positioning even in the harshest trail conditions. Finishing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot and reduces in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.

Mizuno Wave Midsole

The Mujin 10 features a Wave midsole. This is a dual-density midsole that combines a lighter and more responsive foam with firmer foam. The wave structure provides flexibility in one direction and support in the other and enhances stability without sacrificing cushioning. The shoes use Mizuno's Enerzy compound, which has been utilised throughout the top midsole to provide excellent cushioning and energy return, helping you to put the miles in. The lower midsole uses the firmer U4ic and U4icx. This combination is still light and provides extreme comfort but works to dampen shocks and reduce fatigue so that you can train for longer. The combination of the foams and the Wave construction helps to reduce stress on the joints, reducing the risk of injury while helping to put a spring in your step with its high energy return.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Completing the shoes is a Vibram Megagrip Outsole. The high-performance rubber compound offers unparalleled sticky grip and optimal ground adaptability, allowing you to tackle tricky terrain with ease whether the surface is wet or dry. The durable rubber offers rugged longevity providing unprecedented grip trail after trail. The shoes use 5mm multi-directional Traction Lugs to offer supreme grip on a variety of technical terrain - keeping you stable and confident when navigating steep ascents and descents, or uneven ground. These work by digging into the ground and anchoring your foot in place, giving you the confidence to tackle any terrain without issue.

More than 50% of the upper body textile is made from recycled content. More than 90% of the upper body lining textile is made from recycled content. Part of the midsole is made with sugarcane-based material.
