Stretch Woven Upper
Constructed using a stretch woven upper, the Wave Skyrise ensures a sock-like feel, providing a secure fit so your feet remain stable and comfortable. The upper enables cool air to circulate around the shoe, removing unwanted warm air to help regulate temperature so you remain comfortable when clocking up the miles. The shoes have a soft, padded collar which wraps around your ankle, increasing comfort and reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing. Finishing the Wave Skyrise is a traditional lacing system that provides you with a secure, locked-in fit preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring.
Mizuno ENERZY NXT Midsole
Multiple technologies feature in the midsole to provide enhanced comfort and shock absorption. The top layer utilises Mizuno ENERZY NXT, which is ultra soft, responsive and assists in the next level of performance. This technology is lighter than previous Enerzy midsoles and found in the heel wedge to give an incredible energy return, while still offering a soft and bouncy sensation. The bottom layer of the midsole features Mizuno ENERZY which is soft and responsive, offering soft and propulsive cushioning. Mizuno ENERZY has been developed to enhance performance capacity whilst providing an overall more comfortable feeling. Completing the midsole is a Mizuno Wave which helps guide the foot forward to enable softer movements.
X10 Rubber Outsole
The outsole of the Wave Skyrise has been made using X10, a durable Carbon rubber which allows for longer wear in high-impact areas and supplements traction at the heel. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
