Designed to be durable and lightweight, the Montrail Outdry EX Lightweight Shell Jacket has been constructed using nylon ripstop. The ripstop fabrication works to protect the jacket from the trials and tribulations of the trails by defending against tearing and ripping. The nylon fabric has been reinforced to ensure it can withstand damage, this will give you peace of mind when tearing through the trails. To ensure protection from adverse weather conditions the EX Lightweight Shell Jacket feature OutDry waterproof technology which keeps you protected in rain and snowstorms. The waterproof membrane prevents water ingress to keep to comfortable and dry in harsh conditions. This patented construction technology works to provide ample protection whilst remaining lightweight and breathable so you can remain comfortable at all times. Featuring a tough waterproof membrane on the outside and a soft wicking fabric on the inside. The wicking fabrication moves moisture away from the skin where it can easily be evaporated; this creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. As well as this, vents within the jacket allow air to flow throughout its construction. The vents allow cool air to flow into the garment whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable when temperatures rise.

A hood can be used to provide added protection by shielding your face from harsh wind and rain. A front zip exists for complete temperature control; in colder climates, it can be worn up to seal in heat or when temperatures begin to rise it can be worn down to release an intolerable heat build-up. Elastic cuffs offer a stay-put fit that helps to seal in escaping heat whilst a drawcord adjustable hem can be used to cinch down the fit.
