The Montane Ajax Jacket is a tough uncompromising winter mountaineering shell constructed using a GORE-TEX fabrication which adds lightweight breathable and waterproof protection.
Construction
Constructed from lightweight 40 Denier GORE-TEX fabric with 70 Denier GORE-TEX in high abrasion areas you can now be sure that you will be totally protected from the elements as well as protected from wear and tear. Outdoor clothing with GORE-TEX product technology is both durably waterproof and windproof. In addition, a durable water repellent (DWR) finish provides extra weather protection by shedding light rain off.
Additional Features
Articulated arms with engineered tailoring allow you the full range of motion, whilst a fully adjustable roll-away climbing helmet compatible hood with a stiffened peak provides protection for the head during harsh weather conditions. A tall collar offers storm protection to the face, while two map-sized mesh lined A-line hand pockets with YKK Matte Aquaguard zips offer convenient storage space and offer refuge for cold hands.
YKK matte AquaGuard zipped chest pocket provides more storage space for any items you wish to take out with you and a YKK matte AquGuard centre front zip with internal storm flap prevents weather entry to keep you dry and comfortable. Additionally, the jacket features glove friendly ergonomic lightweight zip pullers so you don't have to expose your hands to the bitter cold, Microfleece lined chin guard to prevent the cold zip touching your neck, chin and lips, shaped cuffs with adjustable hook and loop tabs to allow you to get the perfect fit and lastly, a fully adjustable hem.
