Montane VIA Minimus Stretch Ultra Women's Jacket
A superbly lightweight and breathable trail running shell made from stretch fabrics to keep you cool, comfortable and ready to explore.
Fabric Construction
The Minimus Stretch Ultra Women's Jacket from Montane is made from a 20 Denier PERTEX SHIELD 2.5 layer fabric. This was specifically chosen as it is super lightweight but also offers fully waterproof protection which is perfect for when exploring in harsh weather conditions. Another key benefit of this material is that also offers a great deal of stretch and therefore, allows the wearer to receive a comfortable,k snug fit without causing them to feel as though their movements are being restricted. A DWR treatment has also been used on the outer fabric layers. This as well as helping to block rain will allow the water to bead on the surface area, making it easier for the jacket to shed effectively.
Pockets And Zips
Compatible with back harnesses', two mesh-lined warmer pockets have been added to the jacket which provides a dry, breathable and secure storage space for essential items. The pockets are finished with YKK Matte AQUAGUARD zips to ensure rainwater is blocked from entering the pocket and potentially damaging any items which are stored inside. A Full-length YKK Matte AQUAGUARD zip also runs down the centre front of the jacket. This zip uses an internal storm guard flap to ensure rain is entirely blocked from entering through the front of the jacket. The full-length zip is also quick and easy to adjust, allowing the wearer to choose the amount of coverage or ventilation that is offered at the front of the body. An MP3 player or phone cord exit point is located in the left-hand pocket. This is a great way of keeping all wires neatly out of place and reduces the risk of damage to the user's electrical items. The Minimus Stretch Ultra can be stowed away inside of its own hand pocket, making the jacket great for packing away and reducing the amount of space taken up.
Other Jacket Features
The Articulated Arms with engineered tailoring allow the wearer full freedom of movement instead of causing the wearer to feel as though they are being restricted. The shaped cuffs are partially made of elastic which will allow them to stretch and comfortably sit around the wrists. This feature will also help to block cold wind and rain from entering through the sleeve openings. The low-profile hood is fitted with a pull-cord which allows the hood opening to be tightened or loosened, ideal for meeting personal preferences. The pre-shaped peak offers additional coverage to the face and allows water to run directly off the hood. A microfleece-lined guard has been added to the chin area which will reduce the risk of chafe and abrasion against the skin. The hem of the jacket also includes a drawcord fastening system which allows the wearer to adjust the fit to meet their personal preference. This feature is also great for blocking cold wind and rain, preventing them from entering through the hem opening. Reflective material has been used to make the 'Montane' logo, allowing the wearer to remain safe and visible as they explore in possible lower lighting conditions.
