Montane Ultra Tour Jacket

Fabric Construction
The Ultra Tour Jacket from Montane is made from a 40 Denier PERTEX SHEILD fabric. This was specifically chosen as it is super lightweight but also offers full waterproof protection which is perfect for when exploring in harsh weather conditions. Another key benefit of this material is that also offers a great deal of stretch and therefore, allows the wearer to receive a comfortable, snug fit without causing them to feel as though their movements are being restricted. A DWR treatment has also been used on the outer fabric layers. This as well as helping to block rain will allow the water to bead on the surface area, making it easier for the jacket to shed effectively.
Pocket And Zip Features
Two map-sized pockets have been added to each side of the jacket. They are lined with a mesh material which improves ventilation and reduces the risk of stored items being damaged by condensation. YKK Matte AquaGuard zips help to keep the contents safe, secure and protected. A YKK Matte AquaGuard Zip also runs down the center front of the jacket. This allows the wearer to quickly and easily adjust the amount of coverage or ventilation they receive at the front of the body depending on personal preference and weather conditions.
Additional Features
The dropped rear hem provides additional coverage to the back of the body and helps to block cold air and rain getting inside of the jacket. A pull-cord has been added to the opening of the hood which allows it to be easily adjusted to meet the wearer's preferences. The stiffened peak helps to shield the face from wind and rain. Even though it is not fully covered, the peak allows water to run off the sides of the hood instead of directly onto the face which could cause a distraction. The wrist cuffs and hem of the jacket are also fully adjustable. This feature will allow the wearer to adjust the fit around these areas to meet their personal fit needs. Another key benefit of the adjustable cuffs and hem is that it can help to block wind and rain entering through these openings and disturbing the warm atmosphere inside of the jacket.
