Designed to provide amazing elemental protection, the Icarus stretch jacket has been construction using Pertex Quantum Eco. Pertex Quantum Eco, is a recycled fabric is completely windproof, showerproof and fast drying making the Icarus the perfect for mountaineering, hiking, expeditions, and climbing, it's also great for everyday life. The Pertex quantum fabrication is also super breathable allowing you to remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The warmth is down to the Primaloft ThermoPlume synthetic fill, which mimics the loft and fill power of down, with the fast drying warmth of PrimaLoft insulation. The 85g insulation works to keep you warm during the harshest of conditions. Additionally, a PEAQ Synthetic ECO recycled lining sits comfortably against the skin whilst a micro baffle construction allows for next to skin fit without restricting movement. As well as this, a Stria Lite stretch fleece in the side body and under the arms for enhanced movement and comfort whilst moving fast when climbing or trekking.
A full-length YKK front zipper with internal storm flap ensures ultimate temperature control as well as added weather protection. The zip can be worn down in hotter climates to increases airflow or it can be worn up on colder days to seal in the warmth. Additionally, the storm flap prevents water from entering inside the jacket. An insulated under the helmet hood provides added weather protection aswell as extreme comfort whilst a pre-elasticated hem provides an optimum fit. Lastly, two zippered hand pockets and a zippered chest pocket provide ample storage space for essential items.
