Montane VIA Featherlite Trail Women's Jacket
Block out the wind in lightweight, breathable comfort in the Women's Featherlite Trail Jacket from Montane.
Fabric Construction
The Featherlite Trail Jacket from Montane is constructed from 20 Denier Wind Barrier Dynamic fabric. Not only is this fabric super lightweight but it is also wind resistant and breathable, making the jacket perfect for long adventures up high on the hills and along the trails. The breathable qualities allow cool air to flow into the jacket (without causing a major chill) at the same time as warm air is released, creating a cool and comfortable environment inside of the jacket. A DWR treatment has also been used on the outer fabric layers. This as well as helping to block rain will allow the water to bead on the surface area, making it easier for the jacket to shed it effectively.
Pockets And Zips
An external, mesh-lined pocket has been placed on the left side of the chest which provides easily accessible storage space for essentials which may be frequently needed. An MP3 player or phone cord exit point is located in the pocket. This is a great way of keeping all wires neatly out of place and reduces the risk of damage to the user's electrical items. Running down the centre front of the jacket is a YKK Reverse Coil Semi Auto Zip which is finished with an internal wind-strip. This will help to block wind and rain entering through the zipper. The full-length zipper is great for allowing the wearer to choose the amount of coverage or ventilation they receive depending on personal preference and weather conditions. The Featherlite Trail Jacket can be stowed away inside of its own hand pocket, making the jacket great for packing away and reduces the amount of space is taken up.
Other Jacket Features
The Articulated Arms with engineered tailoring allows the wearer full freedom of movement instead of causing the wearer to feel as though they are being restricted. A microfleece lined guard has been added to the chin area which will reduce the risk of chafe and abrasion against the skin. The hem of the jacket also includes draw-cord fastening system which allows the wearer to adjust the fit to meet their personal preference. This feature is also great for blocking cold wind and rain, preventing them from entering through the hem opening. A reflective material has been used to make the 'Montane' logo, allowing the wearer to remain safe and visible as they explore in possible lower lighting conditions. The wrist cuffs are elasticated which will help to hold the sleeves securely in place. Another key feature of the wrist area is the Thumb loopholes. These will allow the wearer to offer coverage across part of the hand and further protects the wearer from cold weather.
