Montane Air Waterproof Jacket
Constructed to deliver year round mountain weather protection, the new Air Jacket utilises new PERTEX Shield AP fabric to achieve breathability, durability and waterproofness. With a hydrostatic head of 20,000mm and weighing just 350g, it is a lightweight, no-compromise shell that will protect you in the Lake District or during heavy downpours in the Scottish Cairngorms.
Constructed with 85g PERTEX Shield AP fabric the Air Jacket has a 100% nylon rip-stop face and uses an advanced air porous membrane for the highest levels of waterproof durability, the jacket upholds superior waterproofing upto 20,000mm HH. Breathability is not compromised though as the bi-component membrane pushes out moisture from the inside, providing all day comfort in a wide range of weather conditions. Furthermore micro-taped seams throughout increase breathable surface area to ensure you do not overheat even on the most strenuous of climbs. The Air Jacket is also extremely durable as its 12 - 13 seam stitch count on all seams is more than the typical industry average of 8, creating a tight, clean and strong seam.
The Jacket also comes with a number of adjustable comfort features, such as a roll away helmet hood with wired peak, made strong and adjustable to your needs, protecting your face further from the elements. A mesh-lined chest pocket is also included, with a large storage space to keep your essential items or maps secure.
There are also elasticated face aperture draw cords and an adjustable draw cord hem to pull the garment tight and secure for when conditions get tough. To further improve fit and function, articulated arms allow easy high reach movement and are tailored specifically to reduce hem lift.
Functionality is paramount in the Air Jacket, this is demonstrated by the inclusion of multiple pockets specifically designed and purpose built. Two map-sized A-line mesh lined hand pockets with YKK matte AquaGuard zips are positioned so that they are clear of a backpack or climbing harness belt. Also a zipped external chest pocket with YKK matte AquaGuard zipper technology is designed to fit a GPS or mobile phone with minimal movement.
