The Women's Alpine Pro Jacket from Montane is a highly capable jacket for exploring the outdoors in winter conditions, offering excellent versatility in a lightweight, ergonomic design. It is fully waterproof and breathable thanks to the GORE-TEX Pro membrane which slides easily over other layers. Garments made with 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro fabric are durably waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable. They combine comfort with reliable weather protection, even during extended activities in extreme weather. The fabrics construction keeps your body dry by reducing the accumulation of sweat, so the wearer remains cool during aerobic activities and warm during cool-down. The jacket has technical tailoring around the arms to prevent arm lift raising the lower hem whilst reaching high. This is particularly greater when you need to maintain maximum coverage from the elements when on steep or tricky terrain that is exposed. With a slightly larger chest and upper arm dimension it allows you with the option to layer up to stay warm during the cold weather conditions.
The gusseted cuffs are compatible with winter gloves, with shaped hook and loop adjustment for easy cinching for a close fit for maximum protection. The tall collar at the front of the jacket offers extra protection for your face and will allow you to cinch in the hood to just around your eyes in particularly bad weather conditions. Also with a fully adjustable climbing helmet compatible hood designed to fit comfortably with warm headwear and a helmet while the hood also has a stiffened peak which provides stability and the wired edge allows adjustability. The adjustable hem of the jacket can be cinched in further to protect yourself from the elements while the pit zip ventilation on the jacket allows you to dump any excess heat while on the move and still benefit from great protection. Equipped with an internal storm flap behind the centre front zip together with a press stud to secure the hem and prevent further weather entry.
Constructed with various pockets, including two map-sized A-line hand-warmer pockets with YKK matte AquaGuard zips positioned clear of a backpack or climbing harness belt. These zips provide substantial protection from the elements, as the water resistant zip features polyurethane laminated tape combined with Vislon technology which ensures the plastic moulded teeth reduce weight and afford a smooth and hassle-free operation. Also featuring a left-hand side chest pocket and an internal right hand side stretch mesh pocket, articulated to provide extra volume for goggles or water bottle when required. All zips are ergonomically designed with pullers which make it easier to open when wearing gloves or mitts.
