Synthetic Mesh Upper and EVA Midsole

The upper of the New Balance MD500v5 is constructed with a lightweight mesh which provides ventilation to the feet, keeping them cool and dry, while the synthetic materials provide support. To ensure comfort, the shoe is developed with a no-sew upper application which helps reduce the risk of irritation and discomfort. The upper also features a resin-print exoskeleton for athletic and a thin comfort tongue and contoured collar for additional comfort. An EVA heel wedge provides added comfort as well as protection by absorbing impacts before they take a toll.

Pebax Plate Outsole

The outsole of the MD500v5 is developed with a full-length Pebax plate which provides the perfect balance of traction, flexibility, and speed. It also offers a high-strength thermoplastic polymer outsole with great flexibility and impact resistant properties for long-lasting durability.
