Underfoot, HydroHesion advanced rubber compound helps you find grip in adventurous water environments, while spike-like lugs let you feel fast. The forefoot Rock Stop plate helps add additional protection on the trail, and a GORE-TEX upper will provide you with a durable waterproof membrane.
GORE-TEX Upper
Surrounded by a GORE-TEX membrane, the upper is provided with durable waterproof protection, keeping you feeling dry and comfortable no matter what is thrown at you. In addition, the membrane is breathable, and will allow a natural airflow in and out for exceptional breathability. FantomFit uppers will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. FantomFit technology uses a skeletally engineered construction to provide ultralight support and fit; it is created by fusing two thin materials with a no-sew process. This seamless fabrication means that weight, layers and bulk are reduced, as well as the risk of rubbing and blisters (because we know how those can ruin your day). Perforations in the synthetic mesh increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. The Toe Protect rubber compound wraps the toes to reinforce the shoe's trail-worthy state, increasing its durability and defending feet against roots, rocks and other general hazards.
REVlite Midsole
REVlite resides in the midsole to supply resilient underfoot cushioning. The innovative foam compound provides the same responsiveness and durability of New Balance foams 30% heavier, offering a feathery ride that doesn't minimise construction or sacrifice underfoot cushioning and stability. Light in weight and low in profile, it helps to spare your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces.
HydroHesion Outsole
Wedged between the midsole and outsole of this trail shoe, is a Rock Stop plate. Durable but flexible, it acts as a protective shell. The Rocks Stop works by reducing the pressure of impact on the foot, keeping it safe against jagged, unpredictable terrain and preventing stone bruises and nasty blisters. A HydroHesion outsole completes the Summit Unknown; the advanced rubber compound supplies sticky grip across watery rocks and slippery trails, striking the perfect balance between grip and durability. Spike-like lugs further enhance traction.
