New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v14 Running Shoes (2E Width)
Featuring a modern, updated design with premium technology, the New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v14 delivers the smoothest ride on the road.
Triple Jacquard Mesh Upper
Featuring a new triple jacquard mesh upper, the New Balance 1080v14 provides increased breathability in key areas whilst offering a snug fit. This mesh keeps feet secure within the shoes, whilst allowing fresh, cool air to travel around your foot for an optimum level of comfort. As well as this, a no-sew material application means reduced weight plus a minimal risk of rubbing and blisters while the gusseted tongue secures the midfoot and also prevents stones from entering, further enhancing comfort. Completing the upper, the shoes have a traditional lacing system to provide a secure, locked-in fit, reducing in-shoe slipping.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
The latest model of Fresh Foam technology is a more energetic rebound than its predecessor. Absorbing shock impact, the Fresh Foam X midsole protects against stress to joints when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces without compromising a responsive, natural ride. Delivering plush underfoot cushioning, the midsole is a fusion of plush foam and advanced design, creating an ultra-cushioned and geometrically sound ride. Fresh Foam encourages a smooth heel-toe transition, reduces damage to the muscles and in turn, diminishes fatigue, allowing you to push further for longer. A rocker profile further enhances smooth, natural feeling transitions from heel to toe. Completing the midsole is a soft, sock liner that offers exceptional breathability and moisture-wicking properties. The sock liner allows cool air to circulate whilst moisture vapour is removed for a cool, damp-free environment in which feet can thrive.
Solid Rubber Outsole
Completing the New Balance 1080v14 is a solid rubber outsole that supplies a durable sticky grip for multi-directional traction. The rubber can withstand damage from multiple surfaces providing you with extra confidence when out running. Additionally, the rubber can create a solid bond of friction across a variety of terrains, crucial for control as you race around the roads. This will reduce the risk of injury from slipping or rolling your ankle, as you will be held in a firm and upright position.
