Nike Zoom Victory 4 XC Running Spikes
The Nike Zoom Victory 4 XC Spike is built to navigate tough courses with a one-to-one fit and superior traction. The first Nike cross country spike of its kind to use water-resistant Hyperfuse construction, it provides a nearly seamless fit in an extremely lightweight execution.
Hyperfuse Upper
The hyperfuse construction bonds layers of mesh and synthetic skins to create a one-piece outer shell that swathes the foot in durable comfort. Enriched with water-resistant technology, the upper helps to keep feet dry in wet and muddy conditions. A dynamic arch band wraps from the lateral side to the medial side to increase stability and lockdown over varied terrain; it unites with the free-floating Flywire cables, which tighten as you tighten the laces, to anchor you to the midsole, reducing in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. The deconstructed heel counter works to secure the rearfoot for ultimate stability on every adventure, and synthetic overlays adorn the medial heel and toe, adding durability from heel-strike to toe-off. The upper's sock-like construction repels kicked-up dirt and debris and lets your ankles flex freely, as they need to do when racing over rough and uneven terrain.
Cushlon Midsole
Cushlon resides underfoot to deliver a soft, yet resilient, and responsive ride. Light in weight and low in profile, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving terrain. Cushlon's reactive nature means your use of superfluous muscle power is reduced, so you can run faster or at the same speed for longer. Embedded within the midsole, a carbon-fibre midfoot shank enhances torsional stability and support through midstance; it stops the shoe from twisting excessively and causing injury, this is especially beneficial when running over a jagged surface. A 360-degree collar connects the midsole to the outsole for a lightweight, one-to-one fit.
Anti-Clog Outsole
Nike Anti-Clog Traction helps to prevent mud from clogging the outsole and weighing down your pace, resulting in superior lightweight traction. Rubber with an aggressive traction pattern provides multi-surface grip plus durability, resisting the traumas of heel-strike and toe-off to provide you with a reliable XC buddy. A forefoot Pebax plate is shaped like a horseshoe and houses 6 spike receptacles for even pressure dispersal and enhanced grip. The anatomical heel is rounded to roll with the ground, promoting a natural range of motion.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
