Lofted Mesh Upper

Lofted mesh uppers will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. Lighter than its predecessor, the Pegasus Turbo 2's translucent material looks as breathable as it feels. Synthetic overlays swathe the midfoot to provide lightweight support and durability; they work to ensure stability and increase the longevity of the shoes. Additionally, a partial inner sleeve has also been used on the upper, it conforms to the shape of your foot for a fit ideal for racing and is designed to help you train faster for longer. A slick heel collar has been engineered to taper away from the foot for increased comfort around the Achilles tendon, and the notched bootie hugs your foot for a snug but flexible fit. ZoomX Midsole

Revolutionary Nike ZoomX foam resides directly underfoot for heightened responsiveness. Previously only used in the Vaporfly 4%, Nike's fastest marathon shoe, this ultra-light and super-reactive midsole material delivers Nike's greatest energy-return yet, springing in at a magical 85%. It absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect; this energy-return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you going for longer. The revolutionary foam is manufactured from Pebax, a product conventionally used in plastic bridges and other moulded parts, and yields cushioning that is not only lightweight, but soft AND springy. Durable Rubber Outsole

The rubber is placed on high wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability and resist the traumas of heel-strikes. The rubber has been removed in the midfoot to reduce weight, further enhancing the lighter-than-air feel of this shoe. Small waffle pistons also feature on the rubber outsole to ensure multi-surface traction; their size helps to reduce weight without compromising durability. The pistons resist the traumas of heel-strike and toe-off to provide you with a shoe that can charge you through training days AND race days. Completing the outsole is a bevelled heel which is angled to optimise the initial touchdown, promoting a smooth transition to midstance.
