Nike ZoomX Dragonfly Running Spikes
Reach your personal best on the track with the Nike ZoomX Dragonfly. Its lightweight, fast design is made for 1,500 to 10,000 meter races.
Mesh Upper
Minimal mesh uppers will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. Zones of ventilation and structure are engineered into the material; perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to win in, and lightweight support wraps the foot in a firm fit, reducing in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. The anatomical toe design follows the natural contours of the foot; it enhances propulsion by increasing space in the forefoot, allowing the toes to splay and push off the ground.
ZoomX Midsole
Ultra-light and super-responsive, the midsole material delivers Nike's greatest energy return yet; it absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy-return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you going for longer. The revolutionary ZoomX foam is manufactured from Pebax, a product conventionally used in plastic bridges and other moulded parts, and yields cushioning that is not only lightweight but soft AND springy. Until now, these three characteristics (collectively) have proven nearly impossible to achieve.
6 Spike Outsole
A 3/4-length injected Pebax spike plate completes the shoe, it provides a stiff platform of propulsion that makes for powerful, reactive strides. The plate's generative design uses an algorithm to identify where zones of stiffness and flexibility are needed and it uses a honeycomb-inspired pattern to achieve this. Zones that demand greater flexibility have larger cutouts that use less material to significantly reduce weight. Six removable spike pins, made of stainless steel, deliver optimal, biting traction. A sharkskin heel pad improves grip, for multi-surface traction, without sacrificing weight; resisting the traumas of heel-strike to supply you with a reliable, fast and long-lasting race buddy.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
