Engineered Mesh Upper

As well as this, overlays around the heel provide extra support and increase durability. The lacing system locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. Completing the upper are bonded seams to help keep out water for happy, dry feet.

Air Zoom Midsole

A foam midsole has been added to the Winflo Shield 8 to provide lightweight comfort that'll help propel you through any run. The lightweight yet responsive midsole delivers exceptional cushioning underfoot thanks to a soft foam material to severely reduce the impact placed on your knees and joints as you run. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces; it is also exceptionally lightweight so you can remain comfortable on gruelling days. Zoom Air Technology combines pressurised air with internal fibres to deliver responsive cushioning that springs back fast, so you can move faster. Its advantage is that, as well as providing excellent impact protection, it boasts a super lightweight and low-profile design that lets your feet sit closer to the ground, enhancing proprioception so that you can run more efficiently. The units have been used in the forefoot and heel to provide cushioning where you need it the most.

Tyre-Inspired Outsole

Developed using a rubber outsole, the Nike Air Zoom Winflo 8 Shield Running Shoes enhance traction and grip. The durable rubber provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The rubber is placed on high wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability. The rubber covers the heel, forefoot and midfoot to enhance durability, resisting the traumas of heel-strike and toe-off to provide you with a reliable and long-lasting running buddy. The lug design is inspired by tyres for ultimate multi-directional traction, perfect for when the weather shifts in winter.
