Nike Zoom Alphafly Next Nature Running Shoes
Push to the finish with the next step in our sustainability journey. We made the ultralight Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next Nature with at least 50% recycled content by weight, using recycled materials that won't sacrifice performance. It's still made to help you unlock new personal records, with a secure, breathable design that is so light it'll feel like flying. You've trained hard, time to lace up and break through wearing a shoe born from waste.
Flyknit and Flyprint Upper
Designed with a combination of Flyknit and Flyprint, the Nike Zoom Alphafly Next Nature Running Shoes encase each foot in optimal comfort. An advanced Flyknit upper provides breathability where you need it most. It's strong and durable, helping to keep your foot secure with every mile. The Flyknit in the Alphafly Next Nature uses "take-back" yarn, waste material or extra that has not been utilised. Only the most sustainable versions of yarn have been incorporated into the sustainable upper, some of which have already been recycled and have now been recycled again to produce the Next Nature Running Shoe. Featuring a quarter panel and heel section constructed using Flyprint, the shoe offers additional support and comfort to the heel and midfoot. These Flyprint panels have allowed Nike to utilise leftover waste from Air Bag material in these sections of the upper. Flyprint technology is a 3D printing technique that provides a secure and lightweight feel that remains breathable and retains almost zero water for added comfort to keep your feet light and fast. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. With sustainability from all aspects of the shoe, these laces have been created from recycled material that has been sourced from polyester recycling processes.
ZoomX Midsole
Nike ZoomX foam delivers Nike Running's greatest energy return yet. The ZoomX material featuring in the Nike Next Nature has been composed in a hot mould with cubed recycled waste materials and formed into the shape of the midsole. Ultra-light and super-responsive, the midsole material delivers Nike's greatest energy return yet; it absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy-return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you going for longer. Embedded within the generous ZoomX platform, and complimenting its responsive nature, is a full-length carbon Flyplate which is composed of over 80% recycled carbon fibre. Intended to minimise energy loss during toe bend without increasing demand on the calf, it springs up under your heel as you stride forward, yielding the snappy, propulsive sensation that converts into extra-energised strides. As part of the brands sustainable journey, the carbon fibre plate has also been constructed using leftover pieces. Air Zoom units have also been used within the midsole of the Alphafly Next Nature to deliver the most energy return of all Nike racing shoes. The units have been used within the forefoot to cushion the footstrike to offer you the best possible protection and comfort when running. These Air Zoom units have been manufactured with over 65% recycled materials whilst still ensuring lightweight, durable and versatile cushioning, the units feature pressurised air inside that compresses and recovers as you run through the gait cycle. The units compress to reduce the force of impact and then recovery allows the air unit to return to its original shape and volume to ensure a soft and responsive base for you to push off from. Every time you land, the powerful Air Zoom cushions absorb your energy and shoot it right back-springing you into your next move.
Durable Rubber Outsole
A lightweight, but durable, outsole completes the shoe. Its traction pattern is informed by an algorithm to identify lug shapes and sizes that optimise propulsion. The design places optimal rubber on the road for efficiency and traction; high-abrasion rubber adorns the rearfoot to increase durability, resisting the traumas of heel-strike to supply you with a reliable and long-lasting running buddy. Lightweight foam rubber covers the forefoot to provide grip and durability whilst enhancing energy return. Lengthwise flex grooves have been used on the rubber outsole to enhance multi-surface traction ensuring confident footing wherever your next race takes you. The durable rubber provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. It's all for the athletes who crave a shoe that's hard to run slow in, a shoe that allows you to maintain any given pace. Let it be love at first run, choose the Alphafly Next Nature.
