Tough, Enclosed Mesh Upper

The upper construction of the Boco AT 5 running shoes is lightweight, enclosed and water-resistant for the perfect balance between breathability and durability. The closed mesh wraps your foot in breathable comfort and provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forces out hot, muggy air. The difference between closed mesh on trail shoes and the mesh on road running shoes is that the mesh in the Boco AT 5 works in tandem with the gusseted tongue to prevent debris from entering the shoes and blocks out dirt. This mesh is also tough providing durability to the upper, allowing you to use these shoes time and time again.

In addition, the upper uses no stitch, heat welded overlays to retain the structural integrity of the shoes as well as enhances durability. The overlays also work in concert with the lacing system to provide a more snug and comfortable fit, wrapping your foot to prevent in shoe slipping from occurring. A durable rubber toe bumper protects your toes from impact on rocks, roots and other trail hazards while an anti-bacterial sockliner prevents the growth of odour causing microbes, keeping your shoes fresher for longer.

EVA Midsole

The midsole uses a soft, single-density EVA midsole provides optimal cushioning and superb comfort. The EVA works to dissipate shock and impact forces while absorbing the energy created when heel striking. Once the energy is absorbed the midsole unit turns this into positive energy and transfers it to the forefoot area where it pushes you off into your next step. This construction provides excellent rebound properties and is more efficient as well as energy saving. The midsole also features a Newton's action/reaction technology in the forefoot for a responsive and resilient ride.

Multi-Directional Lugged Outsole

The outsole boasts a multi-directional lugged outsole that provides optimal grip on uneven terrain. The outsole consists of a Rubber compound that offers increased and enhanced trail fighting traction in both dry and wet conditions, while also conforming to the natural movements of the foot.
