B-Dry Upper
The B-Dry waterproof membrane keeps your feet dry no matter the weather conditions. Oboz have designed the upper of the Arete with everyday wear and outdoor wear in mind, creating a stylish, everyday walking boot. The no-sew design allows for maximum comfort, minimising the risk of any chafing and skin irritation which could cause blisters. The breathable upper is specifically designed to let moisture such as sweat escape from the shoe whilst not letting water or mud in, keeping your feet cool and dry. It allows cool air to permeate and hot air to escape, preventing an intolerable built up of heat for maximum comfort. A highly abrasion resistant material has also been used on the upper ensuring that all Oboz remain durable both on the upper and outsole.
EVA Midsole
Oboz have fitted the Arete's with an O Fit Insole, a proprietary insole that Oboz are known for. It is moulded to match the specific shape and construction of every shoe, to give the kind of fit, feel and performance that's unmatched in the industry. An A3 Chassis is used in the midsole for maximum stability and support. Independent TPU stabilizers provide torsional flex and allow for natural articulation while the single density EVA throughout provides cushioning and comfort. The integrated shank reduces weight while providing proper support and flex points. The ESS forefoot plate mitigates over-flexion and protects from stone bruising.
Tempest Outsole
The Tempest outsole reduces weight without compromise. Multi directional and perimeter lugs provide great traction for when you're out on the trails, whilst the active flex grooves provide maximum freedom of movement.
