Developed and tested by athletes and local guides and featuring a narrow profile and close-to-body carry construction, the Osprey Mutant 38 Backpack offers a superior fit that makes for efficient and therefore safer movement in the mountains, so you can tackle adventures with confidence that your pack won't hold you back. A mesh back panel ups the breathability and when you set the bag down, the Snowshed fabric back panel won't get embedded with snow like many mesh other back panels, meaning you won't get cold and wet. Providing you with all the storage you need for demanding alpine days, the Mutant 38 features removable webbing gear attachment straps, front panel daisy chain loops that are compatible with Voile straps, a three-point haul system and dual ToolLocks with bungee tie-offs. An internal hydration sleeve allows you to stay hydrated as you go and lightweight buckles are glove-friendly so you don't have to risk cold hands in harsh conditions. Quick-release upper and lower compression straps provide added stability alongside a reverse-wrap hip belt with dual gear loops and ice gear carry loops. The top lid is removable and is complete with a zip pocket. Once removed Osprey's FlapJacket technology offers cover. A multi-position helmet carry net can be easily removed also when not required.
